Within a very confined site, but with a high FAR, The Box sets out to re-define live-shop-eat-work-play in the 21st century. The project does not separate shopping podium from office tower, from hotel tower, from parking structure, but rather allows the programs to intermingle and feed off of each other. Inspired by Pandora’s Box in Greek mythology, the Box awaits to be opened and discovered.

 

This project is the Phase II expansion to the more traditional Tangshan Pelagic Mall which opened in 2002. It will add an additional 93,000 sq m to the entire development.
