The proposed design for the athletic activity center provides Sofia with an iconic, landmark building and park appropriate in stature and presence to its prominent positioning at the base of the Vitosha and the Balkan mountain ranges. The form of the center becomes informed not only by this positioning, but by its function as a top notch climbing facility as well..... Creating Talus Park.

The taluses or fragments are formed through the creation of axes connecting the entry/arrival plaza with major program components in the building and nodes within the park. These axes also act as view corridors from the entry into the park or from the park to the mountains.

The activities center is comprised of 2 levels above grade with a rooftop bar and spa deck and 2 levels below grade, one of which is parking. Primary guest entry is located at ground level through the greenhouse.
